The 2027 Chevy Silverado 1500 has received a full redesign inside and out. We're excited to show buyers the new, more powerful engine options and features that the Silverado carries for this model year. You'll find new technology and design features, and plenty of customization when it comes to cab and bed sizes. Plus, there's a first-of-its-kind panoramic sunroof on the luxurious High Country trim. Engine and Powertrain Upgrades

The biggest news for the 2027 Chevy Silverado 1500 is under the hood. Chevrolet is retiring its older V8 engines and replacing them with two 6th-generation small-block V8 engines. Every engine in the new Silverado 1500 lineup is now paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Finalized output numbers won't be "official" until the late-2026 rollout, but here's what we know so far.

New 2027 Silverado 1500 Technology Features

The new Silverado 1500 will also showcase a total digital overhaul. Analog layouts have been completely eliminated on the upper trims, which will now feature over 60 inches of combined digital screens for front and rear occupants.

• 16.3-inch Center Screen: Class-leading display centered on the dashboard, standard across the lineup, running a next-generation OS with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• 12.2-inch Digital Gauge Cluster: Standard digital instrument panel handling navigation and mechanical readouts.
• 11.5-inch Front Passenger Screen: A segment first, letting the front passenger view media and navigation, hidden from the driver by a filtered glass shield to prevent distraction.
• 15-inch Head-Up Display: Available on upper trims, projecting speed and navigation directly onto the windshield.
• 5.3-inch Rear Climate & Media Screen: Positioned on the back of the center console, letting rear passengers control their own environment.
• Super Cruise with Trailering: GM's hands-free driving system expands its highway coverage for 2027 and remains the only system in its segment offering hands-free driving while towing a trailer.

Design & Style Enhancements

The new Silverado also moves to the upgraded T1-2 platform. Every piece of exterior sheet metal has been reshaped for better aerodynamics. The front fascia will now have a "high-brow" design style, with the main LED headlight assemblies positioned lower. Horizontal daytime running lights have been installed flush with the grille line.

You'll be able to customize your new Silverado across three cab styles, three bed lengths, and seven distinct trim levels.

WT (Work Truck)

Built strictly for utility. Features vinyl seating and easy-wash floors, along with the 16.3-inch infotainment display.

Custom

Adds some street style with 20-inch wheels and body-color bumpers. Upholstery is upgraded to cloth.

Custom Trail Boss

Built with a factory 2-inch suspension lift, Z71 off-road suspension, and a blacked-out grille.

Silverado

Replaces the historic LT trim. Features premium chrome exterior accents and upgraded interior comforts.

Trail Boss

The premium off-road trim. Pairs the 2-inch lift with off-road monotube shocks, standard locking rear differential, and Goodyear Wrangler terrain tires.

ZR2

Chevrolet's desert runner. Comes with specialized racing dampers and front and rear electronic locking differentials. Heavy-duty underbody skid plates included.

High Country

The fully loaded luxury Silverado 1500. Custom-stitched leather seating and open-pore wood trim inside, plus the first-of-its-kind panoramic sunroof.
